  • Want To Grow A Social Media Following ?

It doesn't matter how many times we say that we don't care about the number of followers we have on social networks…but we all do! Like it or not, but it's true that people do look at your follower numbers, which affects their decision to follow you. In addition, the more followers you have, the larger the potential reach and influence you have (provided those followers are real and relevant to your business). Therefore, here I've boiled it down to just nine essential tactics that meet the following requirements: • They build real followers (i.e., not bots and/or people who could care less about you and your business). • They are useful for marketing and business accounts without causing any potential damage to your brand reputation. Ways to increase your followers : 1. Follow Legitimate, Relevant Accounts To get followed, you must first be a good follower. Finding and following accounts of real people and businesses who are relevant to your business is a first essential step to building your own following, and is a necessary base to make several of the other tactics listed here effective. In some cases just doing this will get you followed back by some of these users, especially if your profile is completely filled out and your feed is full of valuable and relevant posts. But more importantly, following good, active accounts in your business vertical will give you a base of people with whom to interact, which as we’ll see below has value in several different ways for follower growth. Tools exist to help you find such accounts (for example: Followerwonk, ManageFlitter, and Audiense [formerly SocialBro]), but they tend to be Twitter-centric, because that network has more open data than most others. But you can do your own hunting, and often that turns up the best people to follow anyway. 2. Have Something to Show & Share If you want to be worth following, there has to be some “there” there. You have to have some substance to your profile. Your best followers will be people who take the time to check out your profile before following you. They’ll want to see that there’s something worth following. Make sure you have all of the following: • A complete profile. Fill in every field that applies to you. On most social networks you should try to make your bio tell a story. Intrigue visitors into following you. On Twitter, where your bio space is limited, use keywords that you want to be found for. Also, have an attractive, close up head shot (preferably shot by a professional) and a relevant cover image. • A valuable feed. Make sure your feed/timeline is always showing recently-shared, valuable content. Some careful users will browse a little way down your feed to makes sure your active and that they won’t be getting junk if they follow you. For social networks that allow a pinned post (a post that stays “sticky” at the top of your feed), make sure you always have your latest, most valuable piece of content pinned. 3. Be Active & Engaged Of course “be active and engaged” is the number one tip anyone gives in any social media tip post, but it really is critical to building a valuable following of real people. Social media users are tired of link feeds. Commenting on and resharing the posts of others quickly demonstrates that you’re not a bot, and that you’re present on the network. Whenever possible, don’t just reshare someone else’s post, but add a remark as to why you’re sharing it, and tag the original poster. On Twitter, do this using the Quote option when retweeting. Being active in the social threads of others, especially influencers, also exposes your value to new people, and can gain you followers also. 4. Post Opinions, Data, News & Trends The kinds of posts that tend to increase your exposure and therefore lead to new followers fall into these groups: • Opinions. Expressing a strong opinion about an issue that matters to your audience can be risky, but it can also gain a lot of engagement, sharing, and exposure. When I first posted my stance that social media signals are not a direct Google ranking factor it was considered heresy by some, but I was careful to back my claim with careful reasoning and evidence. That post, written three-and-a-half years ago, has become my most widely shared, and I’m pretty certain has been responsible for many of my social followers. • Data. People respond strongly to data that either backs up their beliefs or challenges them. They’ll share those things either way, and if you’re the originator of the data, and do so on a regular basis, they’ll want to follow you to not miss out. Christopher Penn is an excellent example of the power of a data originator on social media. • News and trends. If you can become a good source for breaking news important to your industry, people will want to follow you to not miss out on what’s happening. Barry Schwartz has created amazing opportunities for himself simply by monitoring important sources in the search industry and being one of the first to break new stories. 5. Post Frequently, But Appropriately The hardest truth about social media is that no matter how popular you become, if you stop posting and engaging you’ll be forgotten in no time. You’ve got to maintain a regular presence, but you also don’t want to overdo it. I can’t give you any hard rule of thumb for posting frequency, but generally post less frequently on networks where the newsfeed is heavily controlled by an algorithm (Facebook, LinkedIn) and more frequently where it’s more “real time” (Twitter). 6. Rally Your Subscribers If you have an email list that you regularly send content to (and you should!), include your primary social media links in your newsletters. And every so often make a special appeal for people to follow you there. People who think enough of you and your content to open your emails will probably gladly follow you on social media. 7. Use Hashtags Always look before you leap with a new hashtag. Search for it on the network and make sure it isn’t being used for something you wouldn’t want you or your brand to be associated with. 8. Get Speaking Gigs & Interviews Speaking at conferences and meetups, or being interviewed on a video show or podcast, can obviously be good for your career, but they also great ways to get exposed to new people. Best of all, the people at conferences and meetups are highly likely to be relevant to your business, and they just got a good taste of your value, so they’re highly motivated to follow you on social media. Include your Twitter handle at the bottom of your presentation slide decks, as long as the conference allows it. The same thing can happen from guest posting opportunities. 9. Build Partnership Campaigns Conferences, webinars, and guest posts are all effective ways to get your expertise in front of OPAs [OPA (Other People’s Audiences)], but one of the best is through partnership content and campaigns. By that I mean building relationships with non-competing companies that still have relevance to your business area and then pitching to them ideas for joint content and social media campaigns. These work best when each partner has something to bring to the table. Because each partner will be promoting the content to its own audience, each has the opportunity to gain new followers from the other. Perhaps you have some interesting data from your business that you could offer to a tool or analysis company in your vertical to produce a joint study. • Tips For Skin Care In Monsoons

Monsoon is here. As much as you are enjoying the nippy weather and heavy downpour, there are some concerns that need your attention. We agree, rainy season brings respite from the scorching summers, but it also brings along a barrage of skin problems. In fact, monsoon is not particularly kind on our skin. Due to excess humidity, we often face problems like acne, breakouts and more. This further takes away the glow from our skin and makes it look pale and dull. According to Dr Vikram Lahoria MD, consultant dermatologist at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Mohali, "Monsoon bring along excessive humidity, making skin sweaty and oily. This further blocks the pores leading to breakouts. Especially during the Covid era, where we are wearing masks all the time, conditions worsen for acne prone skin. Besides the humid, wet and damp weather conditions during the rainy season leads to the growth and multiplication of various infections namely fungal and bacterial." If you too are fed up with the dull skin this monsoon, then let us tell you, all is not lost. In fact, with some basic changes in your daily diet, you can get back the glow, the natural way. Skin care tips during monsoon • Just because the day is cloudy or rainy it doesn’t mean that your skin is safe from the UV rays of the sun. You still need the protection of a good sunscreen. • It is necessary to wash your face 2-3 times a day to remove the excess oil dirt and also to avoid fungal infection. Make sure to use a mild and natural face wash. • Hydrate yourself well so that the toxins get flushed out of the body and prevent acne and pimples • Avoid wearing makeup because it can clog the skin pores and cause acne breakouts. If you do wear makeup then remove it thoroughly before going to bed. • During the monsoon there is a craving for fried snacks and many people binge on them. However, you should avoid them because they can cause acne and breakouts. This is important for rainy season skin care. Skin care routine that you can follow during monsoon - Fist step is - Exfoliating Exfoliation is necessary to remove the dead skin cells and help in unclogging the pores. You can opt for natural exfoliating agents like sugar, baking soda, coffee, tea bags, oatmeal, papaya and yogurt. Use these mild abrasive ingredients to remove the dead cells from your skin. Exfoliating is especially a must for monsoon skin care for oily skin. Second step is - Cleansing Once you have exfoliated your skin and cleansed the open pores you can use coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, aloe vera, honey and lemon and rose water to cleanse your face. Third step is - Toning Toning is necessary to remove the leftover dirt and makeup. It is advisable not to opt for store bought toners. Instead you should use natural ingredients like green tea, rose water, lemon juice, chamomile tea, and cucumber water. If you have sensitive skin then you should consult your beautician for the right monsoon skin care for sensitive skin. And last step is - Moisturizing Here too natural ingredients like organic coconut oil, olive oil and hemp seed oil are a good option as they don’t leave your skin feeling oily. Apart from taking care of the skin from outside it is also necessary to consume the right foods to make sure that your skin does not just remain problem free but also youthful. • Is your brain health linked to heart health ???

You probably already know that protecting your heart health requires eating well, exercising, and controlling well-known risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure. But did you know that your brain plays an important role in heart health as well? In recent years, researchers have increasingly found links between poor mental health and higher heart disease risk. This may not be surprising, since mental health disorders can affect your behavior. For example, you might be less likely to get regular exercise or more likely to drink too much alcohol if you’re feeling depressed. In addition, some issues that affect our mental health, and certain mental health disorders, may also trigger physical changes in the body that can elevate heart risk in several ways. If you’re struggling with any of the issues like stress, Traumatic childhood experiences, Depression, Hostility and anger, Social isolation, etc., there are things you can do to improve your mental health, and potentially your heart health as well like Talking it out to a professional, making lifestyle changes towards improvement,  keeping your brain active, and by curbing the stress. • What to Wear on a First Date

What you wear on a date can be important. Date attire requires careful thought and consideration. But we don't mean date night attire for an evening out with your longtime love or significant other. Rather, date outfits for a get-together with a new suitor need to deliberately plan. You don't want to wear anything too sexy, too thrown together, or too calculated. You want to be comfortable and cute, without being too revealing. You also want to look like yourself. That said, you don't want to send unintentional or mixed messages, either. Obviously, what you wear definitely communicates a variety of things to your date. Selecting your ensemble is of critical importance. Here are all the things that you should never wear on a date — though, of course, it's ultimately up to you. Reconsider wearing thigh-high boots on a date Thigh-high boots are a total no-no when you're choosing what to wear on a date. Josie May, a love and dating coach, pointed out to The List that these sexy stompers "may look good when you go out dancing with your girlfriends. But unfortunately, on a date, they give off a hooker vibe." You're not going for Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman before she went shopping with Richard Gere's credit cards on Rodeo Drive. You also don't want to send an overtly sexy message that makes you appear too available or — even worse — easy. Play up your allure and your mystique, rather than strutting around in this sort of attention-seeking (and getting!) footwear. Too-tight clothing won't be comfortable to wear on a date Shutterstock Fit is everything. Antonia Hall, a psychologist, relationship and dating expert, and award-winning author, warns against clothes that don't quite fit, especially those that are too small when you're getting ready for a date. "If your clothes are too tight, it tells the person that you have low self-esteem and are trying to gain attention in the wrong ways," she said. You'll also be fidgeting and fussing with your clothes, which is distracting for both parties. Avoid wearing too-loose clothing on a date If you go the opposite route and wear clothes that are roomy and falling off your body on a date, you can appear sloppy and disinterested in either yourself or the date — or both. "If your clothes are baggy and loose, you'll look like you didn't put in an effort and just don't really care," psychologist and dating expert Antonia Hall said. Instead, she recommends that you "wear something that fits and shows off your figure without being too sexual and you'll make the best impression." Baggy may be comfy, but wear something that you love, that fits just right, and shows off the real you! Clothing with brand icons aren't the best option to wear on a date Avoid icons and brand names on a date, so you don't look like a walking advertisement when you throw on something to wear on a date. Plus, that's all a bit too casual. Author, speaker, and healer Jaya Jaya Myra told The List, "Never wear clothing that contains slogans or noticeable brand icons. Clothing is meant to be more subtle than that, and properly picked clothing can elevate your ability to communicate with your date." Plus, you don't want your Hollister hoodie distracting him or communicating with him in your stead. Myra further stated, "You want your date to get to know you without having preconceived notions of who you are before you ever open your mouth — and that won't happen if your clothes broadcast an idea more loudly than your conversation does." It's a bad idea to wear clothes with slogans on a date Don't show up to a date wearing silly or corny outward messages on your shirt, either. Celebrity matchmaker Bonnie Winston reminded The List that no one wants to be the butt of a bad joke, saying, "I had a client who was with a man who bought a shirt on the Venice Beach boardwalk. The shirt said, 'I'm with stupid.' He wanted her to wear it and she said. 'No.' They broke up over it... Not everyone has the same sense of humor!" "One should not wear slogan tees to avoid embodying the slogan for the duration of the date," said Dawnn Karen, MA, EdMc of the fashion psychology field, a discipline that focuses on the hidden synergy between fashion and psychology and the study and treatment of color, beauty, style, image, and shape and its effect on human behavior while addressing cultural sensitivities and norms. Slogan shirts are so unnecessary in this scenario. Dirty attire is a big no-no when picking out what to wear on a date While Vanity Capital's Kaitlin Kapur is "not a fan of telling people what they can or cannot wear because style is such a fun way for an individual to express themselves," there's one thing that's totally unacceptable for people to wear on a date: clothes with stains. Kapur told The List, "One thing you should always avoid is clothing that is dirty and or wrinkled." Don't yank clothes out of your hamper. Make sure your date clothes are clean, pressed, and fresh. Dirty and stained clothes can make you appear messy or unkempt in life and love. Sports bras are not something people should wear on a date Professional matchmaker Susan Trombetti draws the line at athletic attire. "Don't ever show up on a date wearing a sports bra," she told The List. "Save it for the gym. I don't care if you are meeting for happy hour drinks at the bar next to the gym and you have a great bod. It's not appropriate, it can be too sexy, it can say 'I don't care,' and it's all too revealing at the same time." If you are thinking, "Who the hell would wear a sports bra on a date?" — and we certainly were — Trombetti confirmed that it's more common than you think. Besides, date bras can be sexy and lacy. They can give you confidence, and, if they play peek-a-boo, it's a little tease that adds intrigue and mystery. Don't be afraid to add color to an all-black wardrobe when deciding what to wear on a date Shutterstock Yes, black is fashionable and slimming. It's also the preferred monochromatic clothing color of many women. But celebrity matchmaker Bonnie Winston wants you to lighten up when it comes to what you wear on a date. "Please don't dress as if you're attending a funeral, date, after date, after date," she advised. "The message is very depressing. At least, try to lighten things up with a few colorful accessories." If you're someone who personally abides by an "all black everything" style and is only comfortable in head-to-toe black, don't just nix this suggestion. Try to see Winston's point. We recommend mixing black and gray. That way, you can rock shades of black but you won't give off the goth vibe. Because #compromise. Maybe skip the tight skirts on date night Tight skirts are to be avoided on a date, as well, according to Diane Pollack, a wardrobe consultant in New York City. Pollack warns against tight skirts since they can ride up and cause you to be fidgeting with them (and likely being visibly uncomfortable) instead of concentrating on the conversation or how cute your date is. "Never wear something that is uncomfortable and doesn't fit," Pollack told The List. "For instance, that tight skirt that keeps riding up and you keep needing to pull it down. Or the top that won't stay up and you keep having to pull it up. Or those 'killer' stilettos that are really killing your feet. Basically... anything that you are preoccupied with is going to detract from you being present and having fun on the date." It's best to avoid distracting prints when deciding what to wear on a date Shutterstock Distracting prints are no Bueno because they draw attention away from you. Emmy Award-winning stylist David Zyla, author of Color Your Style and How to Win at Shopping, reminded The List, "When dressing for a date, avoid all prints, logos, and anything that distracts from you." As a remedy, Zyla said to focus on particular bodily real estate when choosing what to wear on a date. He further noted, "Since most dates are over dinner or drinks, always dress as you would for a portrait, aka from the waist up, employing your most flattering color and a neckline that follows the shape of your jaw. Hint: The most flattering item to wear on a date is a top or dress in your favorite lipstick color, guaranteed to bring out the sexiest, most romantic side of you." Don't wear things on a date that you wouldn't normally wear Don't dress for a date like someone a friend wouldn't recognize. In other words, don't present yourself as someone you aren't when picking out what to wear on a date. Rose Jubb, a wardrobe stylist in Portland who specializes in helping women claim more confidence and reach their goals, told The List, "The one thing a woman should never wear on a date is anything that makes her feel like someone she is not. Basically, don't fish with the wrong bait. Be yourself, but the slightly polished version, and you'll reel in the keepers who love you for you." Dating experts say to not put on perfume before a date Shutterstock Pause the perfume, people. April Davis, dating expert and CEO of LUMA Luxury Matchmaking, says to nix fragrance when going on a date, which might seem counterintuitive since aromas can be sexy and alluring and can allow your date to remember you. But they can also overwhelm the olfactory sense. "Sure, your favorite scent makes you feel like a bombshell," Davis told The List. "But that doesn't mean he will think the same. We're all sensitive to smell and if you chose the wrong scent, you might be risking it all! Save the perfume for when you have your new love interest on lockdown!" Sweaters aren't the best choice when choosing what to wear on a date You can end up appearing frumpy if you choose to wear a loose sweater on a date. "A huge attire mistake for a first date — primarily in the fall or winter — is sweaters," dating expert April Davis said. "They're cute and cozy, but they're more of a third or fourth date kind of thing." Unless you regularly go for that pinup look with a fuzzy, angora fabric, which can be a little too much during the "getting to know you" phase, "sweaters aren't usually form-fitting and can be a little frumpy," she noted. "The first few dates are your time to spark interest," Davis explained. Yes, the mystery is nice, but you don't want to crush their imagination with an outfit their mom might have worn last Christmas." Don't wear shoes you can't walk in on a date Marilyn Monroe once said, "Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world." You can wear flats. You can wear heels. Just make sure you wear what you can walk in for your date. Personal shopper and expert stylist Jocelyn Kaye weighed in on-date footwear, telling The List, "Nothing kills the mood more quickly than feeling physically uncomfortable. Dates often take serendipitous turns and we find ourselves walking across the Brooklyn Bridge or on a romantic stroll through a park — a little adventure is a true aphrodisiac! Feeling comfortable and confident is key so opt for a kitten or block heel rather than a stiletto, if you go with heels." Really high heels can cause trouble on a date However, if you are a total Carrie Bradshaw and are most comfortable in towering heels, so be it. Just be sure to know what your date has planned since you can't wear six-inch pumps if you're going to be doing a lot of walking. If the date is a surprise, manage your heel height. Fashion blogger Billie Jean Bateson told The List, "The most important thing you should never wear on a date is extremely high heels — above three inches — if you don't know where you will go." What if your suitor has a romantic stroll planned? Imagine how miserable you'd be in sky-high heels! Bateson continued, "No matter how amazing they look, you have to admit that they are uncomfortable and you don't want to hobble the whole time, especially if he wants to prolong the date and suggests you take a stroll down to the river. It's gonna be a nightmare, believe me!" Wearing comfy shoes means "you can be ready for anything without fear," according to Bateson. Compromise with a manageable heel height, as recommended by stylist Jocelyn Kaye. Noisy jewelry can be too loud on a date Noisy accessories are also not appropriate for a date. Dating and relationship coach Christine Baumgartner believes that what "a woman shouldn't wear on a date is noisy jewelry." Baumgartner explained, "I encourage women to occasionally touch their hair, since men like seeing this, the arm of their date since this breaks the personal space barrier between them and also lets the woman see how she feels when she touches him, and to sometimes use their hands while they talk because it can show how passionate they are about the subject. And wearing jewelry that makes sounds would be very distracting." Take off your sunglasses before going on a date The eyes are the windows to the soul, so don't block yourself from connecting with someone on a deeper level by wearing shades on a date. "Everyone looks better in a pair of designer sunglasses, but it stops the one thing you want from a first date: that soul-level connection," said relationship coach Dr. Siva. "If the eyes are the windows to the soul, why hide them? Men tell me that it makes women look unapproachable and also distant. Many of them do not even click on women wearing sunglasses in their dating profiles." It's been scientifically proven that the whites of the eyes deliver lots of messages. Siva explained, "The sclera (whites) of your eyes are designed to enhance communication with your partner by showing which way you are looking. Studies show we naturally learn this as babies, even before we can speak." So ditch the Ray-Bans and the Diors if you want to connect for real. Save the sloppy undies for laundry day, not your date Carina Pedersen, resident "Knicker Lady" and concierge stylist at [Enclosed], a luxury lingerie company, suggests keeping undies private — but pretty — for your date. "Heaven forbid you to show up to a first date in ugly undergarments," she told The List. "You are only doing yourself a disservice, as nothing eats away at your self-confidence like unflattering and uncomfortable knickers. On that first date, you want to feel desirable, attractive, and sensual. The way you feel on the inside projects onto your interaction with your date and a little extra boost of confidence can go a long way." Throw on some sexy undies, even if it's only you who knows you are wearing them. "Wearing fantastic lingerie under your clothes on a date doesn't have to be overtly sexual, it can (and might) remain your little secret," Pedersen explained. "The bottom line is if you feel empowered and sexy, your partner will notice too." Yoga pants aren't the right bottoms to wear on a date The "are leggings pants?" argument is both a raging and prevalent one, with fashion types firmly divided on the issue. That said, leggings and yoga pants are popular. They are also fine for exercise, for running errands, for grabbing coffee with your friends, and for dressing up with an oversized top and heels. They are, however, crossed off the date attire list. "Leave the yoga pants at home," said wardrobe stylist Rose Jubb. "Every item of clothing serves a purpose, but I'd never tell you to wear a cocktail dress to Pilates." On a date, do you, be you At the end of the day, you can wear whatever you like and are comfortable on a date. Do you, be you. These tips are simply designed to provide some help along the way. Laura Bilotta, a dating coach, and matchmaker in Toronto noted that "deciding what to wear on a date is stressful; you want to look attractive, yet effortless, which is tricky. Ultimately, the number one thing that you shouldn't wear on a date is something you aren't comfortable wearing." That extends to physical and emotional comfort. "If you're constantly going to be pulling down your dress, checking to see if your bra is showing or not paying attention because your feet hurt too much, then you aren't going to have a good time, and your date probably won't either," she says. Try your date outfit on and wear it once prior to a date. Test-driving the ensemble will remove the margin for error. "If you're comfortable in the outfit you've chosen, you can relax and focus on your date," says Bilotta. Read More: https://www.thelist.com/80558/things-never-wear-date/?utm_campai

  • 10 superfoods to boost a healthy diet

Superfoods list Berries. High in fiber, berries are naturally sweet, and their rich colors mean they are high in antioxidants and disease-fighting nutrients. How to include them: When berries are not in season, it is just as healthy to buy them frozen. Add to yogurt, cereals, and smoothies, or eat plain for a snack. Fish. Fish can be a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which help prevent heart disease. How to include it: Buy fresh, frozen, or canned fish. Fish with the highest omega-3 content are salmon, tuna steaks, mackerel, herring, trout, anchovies, and sardines. Leafy greens. Dark, leafy greens are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, and calcium, as well as several phytochemicals (chemicals made by plants that have a positive effect on your health). They also add fiber to the diet. How to include them: Try varieties such as spinach, swiss chard, kale, collard greens, or mustard greens. Throw them into salads or sauté them in a little olive oil. You can also add greens to soups and stews. Nuts. Hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, pecans — nuts are a good source of plant protein. They also contain monounsaturated fats, which may be a factor in reducing the risk of heart disease. How to include them: Add a handful to oatmeal or yogurt or have it as a snack. But remember they are calorically dense, so limit to a small handful. Try the various types of nut butter such as peanut (technically a legume), almond, or cashew. Nuts are also a great accompaniment to cooked veggies or salads. Olive oil. Olive oil is a good source of vitamin E, polyphenols, and monounsaturated fatty acids, all of which help reduce the risk of heart disease. How to include it: Use in place of butter or margarine in pasta or rice dishes. Drizzle over vegetables, use as a dressing, or when sautéing. Whole grains. A good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, whole grains also contain several B vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. They have been shown to lower cholesterol and protect against heart disease and diabetes. How to include them: Try having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Substitute bulgur, quinoa, wheat berries, or brown rice for your usual baked potato. When buying slices of bread at the supermarket, look to see that the first ingredient is “100% whole wheat flour.” Yogurt. A good source of calcium and protein, yogurt also contains live cultures called probiotics. These “good bacteria” can protect the body from other, more harmful bacteria. How to include it: Try eating more yogurt, but watch out for fruited or flavored yogurts, which contain a lot of added sugar. Buy plain yogurt and add your own fruit. Look for yogurts that have “live active cultures” such as Lactobacillus, L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus, and S. thermophilus. You can use yogurt in place of mayonnaise or sour cream in dips or sauces. Cruciferous vegetables. These include broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, kale, kohlrabi, mustard greens, radishes, and turnips. • HOW TO WEAR A JUMPSUIT LIKE A STYLE EXPERT

Jumpsuits are, without a doubt, a statement style. The head-to-toe, all-in-one garment creates a striking look that moves beyond a simple dress or pants and top combo, and into more fashionable territories. So why then, do so many women still avoid this trend-worthy style? Well, it isn’t always the easiest piece of clothing to pull off. Choose the wrong fit or add the wrong accessories and your jumpsuit can go from a fashion hero to a fashion zero. Luckily, we’re here to help make sure your every ensemble is seriously chic. Here is our guide on how to wear a jumpsuit like a street style star. When to Wear a Jumpsuit Formal Occasions When attending formal occasions, women often fall into the mindset of thinking that a dress is their only option. While a dress may be the “safe” choice for dressing appropriately, it will rarely have the same impact as a jumpsuit. Jumpsuits can be just as beautiful and polished as a dress while offering an out-of-the-box wow factor that will earn you some serious style points. So for your next formal event try stepping out of your comfort zone and wear a jumpsuit. Choose a sleek and well-tailored style that flatters your figure, add some simple yet chic accessories, and you’re ready to go. Relaxed, super comfortable, and oh-so-chic, the casual jumpsuit is the perfect item to get you out of your jeans and T-shirt rut. Choose from cotton and denim varieties in a range of silhouettes to find the one that suits your style. In particular, loose fit jumpsuits that feature an elasticated or drawstring waist tend to be universally flattering and perfect for jumpsuit virgins. If you plan to wear flats with your jumpsuit, remember to make sure you pick a cropped style boot or lace-up sandal that finishes at or slightly above the ankles. This will help create balance and keep the look lengthened and slim. Yes, you can just wear one item of clothing, but you still need to think about how you will accessorize it. Choose the wrong accessories, and the whole look can become sloppy and unstylish. To keep things chic, plan out your outfit, paying particular attention to your shoes, jewelry, and a belt. After all, this statement style demands accessories that help it shine, so choose ones that match well. The goal is to find accessories with the dual ability to highlight your jumpsuit while breaking up its monotony at the same time. How to Accessorise a Jumpsuit Jumpsuit + Belts A belt is a vital accessory to pulling off a jumpsuit, particularly if you’re still unsure about the style. By adding a belt to your jumpsuit, you’ll help define your waist in a highly flattering way. Even if the style is already fitted at the waist, a belt will help you appear slimmer and turn a column silhouette into an hourglass. For those who are still new to jumpsuits, we recommend trying a belt in a contrasting color to that of your jumpsuit. Doing so will add a new dimension to the outfit and break up the straight line of your jumpsuit, which can otherwise seem overwhelming. Try matching the color of your belt with your shoes for a well-put-together outfit. Block color varieties, in particular, tend to lose their wow-factor without the added outfit dimension that accessories, such as jewelry, give. Jewelry creates a secondary focus point on your outfit, making your style go beyond that of just the jumpsuit. It creates an interesting detail that will draw the eyes of those around you. Choose pieces that will stand out, such as a chunky necklace or large pendant earrings. Gold tends to look great with formal jumpsuit styles while a pop of color can add some fun to casual styles. Wide leg and low-waisted jumpsuits, in particular, are notorious for turning average height women into mini versions of themselves. One of the best ways to combat this problem is by adding a pair of high heels to your look. The additional height that you will receive from the heels will help lengthen your legs and make you appear taller. Just make sure that you choose slim heels instead of chunky ones to keep the look slick and long. Whether you wear your hair up or down with your jumpsuit depends on a number of factors. While there’s no blanket rule for how you should wear your hair, there are some general guidelines that can make it easier to choose. For casual jumpsuits, wearing your hair down tends to look best as it goes with the relaxed feeling of the outfit. Try some loose beach waves or even a super low and loose ponytail. As casual jumpsuits tend to reveal more skin around the shoulders and chest, wearing your hair out also helps to balance the look. Formal jumpsuits, which tend to finish higher, look best with a polished updo. Not only will this style better suit your chic look, but it will also help lengthen your neck to avoid an overwhelming amount of coverage in the same shoulder/chest region. How to Wear Your Hair with a Jumpsuit FAQs How to Wear a Jumpsuit? 1. If you are tall, select a wide-leg jumpsuit that finishes just above the ground. 2. If you are short, choose a slim, cropped style. 3. For a formal event, pick a sleek and well-tailored jumpsuit that flatters your figure. 4. For a cool casual look, wear a loose-fit jumpsuit that features an elasticated or drawstring waist. 5. Complete your jumpsuit look with fashionable accessories, such as jewelry, shoes, and belts, or use layering to add interest. How to Choose a jumpsuit? Like dresses, jumpsuits come in many styles, so part of pulling off this look is all about finding the right jumpsuit for you. When shopping for a jumpsuit consider your needs. Are you after a casual jumpsuit to wear during the day or something more formal for an evening look? Do you need long sleeves to combat cold weather or will a strapless style help you beat the heat? Once you know your requirements, you can start focusing on the details. In general, styles that are fitted at the waist and then looser on the legs tend to be the most flattering. If you are tall, wide-leg jumpsuits that finish just above the ground will be highly complementary. If you are vertically challenged, you may want to opt for a slim, cropped style instead to avoid looking swamped in the fabric. How to Layer a Jumpsuit? Accessories aren't the only styling tool to help you nail the jumpsuit. Layering can also be used to help you feel comfortable while looking great. The easiest way to layer a jumpsuit is with a jacket on top. Try a blazer for formal events or a leather jacket for casual outings. You can even tie a jacket around your waist during the day in place of a belt, to add shape definition. The other option is to layer a shirt or top underneath your jumpsuit. This is a current trend for dresses and works just as well for jumpsuits. Try a plain white T-shirt to get you started before building up to more fashionable pieces such as off-the-shoulder tops in summer and turtle-neck sweaters in winter. What shoes look best with a jumpsuit? You can wear a variety of shoes with a jumpsuit. They can be a wedge or thin heels; mid-height or taller; and both sandals and pumps will work equally well. • How to Apply Makeup

How to Apply Makeup That Looks Good for School If you're between the ages of 11 to 15 and have decided to wear makeup, then this is a Must-Read article! This is written by teens for teens. But before you go any further, remember: A made-over face isn't always a prettier face, and when a girl chooses to wear makeup it is her choice and her choice only! Start by washing your face. If you have bad acne, use a face wash that is right for your skin and does not dry it. (products such as Proactiv, Clean&Clear, Neutrogena, etc.) If you only get some blemishes, washing your face with just a warm cloth and soap is perfect Ensure your foundation is the right color for you. Put just a thin layer on that blends well with your skin. This will also help you use less concealer Find a concealer that is right for your skin tone. Make sure you do not over-apply. Only use it on blemishes and dark circles; the powder or foundation will do the rest. If you have lots of blemishes use a thicker concealer. With a thicker concealer, apply it with a small brush and then blend it in with a bigger brush. You can also use your fingers: some makeup artists say this blends the concealer better Accent your eyes. First, apply a primer to your eyelids if desired. This sometimes will help make sure that your eye shadow won't cake and can help it to stay on longer. If you are going to wear eyeliner, apply it before the eye shadow as you can always touch it up after. When you apply eyeliner make sure you apply it as low on the lash line as possible. After your eyeliner, apply your eye shadow.[4] When choosing a color, make sure it matches your clothing, skin tone, and eye color. Also, if you are a first-time makeup wearer, be sure to start neutral. You do not want to go to school one day with no makeup then come back the next day with a ton of makeup. Apply blush. Make sure you smile when applying your blush. This will help you to get it on the "apples" of your cheeks, which is the part of your cheeks that protrude when you smile hard. Go with a color that matches your skin tone well! Adding mascara. Use a mascara that is right for your lashes and the look you are going for (such as volume, length, or both). Apply mascara to both the top and bottom lashes, as this makes it look more even and it makes you look more awake. If you are dark-haired, use black mascara, and if you are blonde, stick to brown. Applying too much mascara can lead to your eyelashes looking caked and messy! Be cautious Jazz up your lips! You can either use a gloss for a more young, perky look, or a solid lipstick for a more mature look. Find a lip colour that is one or two shades darker or lighter than your lips, never more. With a solid stick, dab it lightly along your bottom and top lips then rub together to blend. This will make it appear more like a lip stain and will make it stay longer. With a gloss, apply as directed. Give your hair a lift. This is a perfect time to do your hair. Of course, this will change from girl to girl on how you do it! If you are unsure, there are more wikiHow articles on hair, if you still need to find the right style for you. Dab on some perfume. Smelling good is just as important as looking good! This draws people to you and makes you more confident about being near people. Choose a scent that is right for you and apply it lightly. TIP: if you want to go more natural, try a scented moisturizer instead. Smile! This is the finishing touch to any look! A good smile can do wonders, and surprisingly, it's one of the first things guys notice in a girl. One weekend when you aren't busy, take 10 minutes and practice smiling in the mirror.

  • Remove Blackheads

Blackheads, essentially open-air pimples, can appear on any part of your body and be especially frustrating to deal with. If you are looking to remove your blackheads, try some of these successful treatments to clean your skin and stop the formation of the pesky dark spots. With some easy adjustments to your skincare regimen, you can have the clear skin you've always wanted (and deserve). Only pick or pop your blackheads after thorough hand washing. It's possible to pop blackheads without scarring, as long as you do it cleanly and carefully. When done correctly, this popping method is a fast, effective way to clear up your pores. Popping a Blackhead Safely Shower first. A warm shower will open up your pores and make it easier to pop the blackheads. You can also do a 10-15 minute steam treatment to get the same effect. Wash your hands thoroughly. Use soap and water and wash for 20 seconds. Popping a blackhead with dirty fingers will only add more bacteria to your pores. Dab an astringent onto your skin. You can buy an inexpensive bottle of astringent at a pharmacy or beauty store. Wet the blackhead area with just a small amount of it. Squeeze the blackhead with a cotton ball to pop it. Squeeze gently on either side of the blackhead to extract the dirt from your pore. Wash your skin with water and astringent. Splash your face with cool water, then dab a small amount of astringent on once more. Wash your hands afterward. Use honey and cinnamon. Honey is a natural antibiotic and works to pull out dirt from your open pores. Mix a tablespoon of honey with ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon and use your fingers to dab it onto your dry skin. Rub it in a circular motion for three minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Make sure to wash your hands before you start applying the mask. Try an egg-white mask. Egg whites help to tighten pores and pull out any clogged dirt, giving you smooth, clear skin. A simple egg white mask is a great way to remove blackheads and help your skin feel fresh and clean. Create a clay mask. There are many different kinds of cosmetic clay available to purchase in a powdered form, each with the specialized property of drying out oily pores and removing unwanted residue. Mix a tablespoon of powdered clay with enough apple cider vinegar to make a paste, and spread it over your face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes until it is dry to the touch, and then rinse off with warm water. Cleanse with oatmeal and yogurt. The lactic acid in yogurt and the calming qualities of oatmeal mix to create an effective blackhead-blocking formula. Use this simple mask once a week to keep your skin clear and fresh. Cleansing with an Oatmeal and Yogurt Mask Mix together: 3 tbsp (1.6 oz) of plain yogurt 2 tbsp (11.25 g) of whole oats 3-4 drops of lemon juice 3-4 drops of olive oil Dab the mixture onto your face. Mix up your paste fully and make sure to fully cover any areas that are prone to blackheads or oil. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Additionally, drink plenty of water. Do the raw food diet if you enjoy raw veggies and fruits. If you dislike meat and are tired of cooking, this one's for you. The raw food diet consists entirely of foods that have not been cooked. You lose weight by consuming loads of fresh vegetables and fruits. Coconut milk, nuts, seeds, and other uncooked foods are also allowed on the raw food diet.[4] You can find recipes for creating flavorful raw food dishes by searching online. Dietitians warn that a long-term raw food diet may leave you without essential nutrients.

  • How to Look, Attractive #Girls

Looking attractive starts from the inside out—if you feel attractive, others will notice your confidence and find you attractive as well. There are some basic things you can do to improve your appearance while also staying healthy, like washing your face daily, staying fit, and choosing outfits that show off your style. Give off confident vibes by smiling often and portraying positive body language, and feel free to enhance your features using makeup if desired. Shower regularly consequently yourself smelling fresh and clean. Try to shower every 1-2 days to get rid of any sweat or dirt on your skin. Use a body soap and shampoo your hair every couple of days as well, especially if you've been sweating or outdoors. Use a conditioner for your hair to make it softer. Use shampoo every few days, but apply conditioner to your hair every day. After you've dried off from your shower, apply deodorant to keep your body smelling fresh. Brush your teeth twice a day. This will keep your teeth looking healthy while also keeping your breath smelling fresh and clean. Brush for two minutes, both in the morning and before bed. Try to floss every night as well to get rid of any extra food stuck in between your teeth. Don't forget to gently brush your tongue—a lot of bacteria that cause bad breath can hang out there. Use mouthwash to kill any bacteria in your mouth as well. Brush your hair to get rid of any tangles. Even if you don't plan on styling your hair, it's important to brush it out to keep it healthy. Use a comb or regular brush to gently remove any tangles, taking your time and making sure you reach all of your hair. Consider making a hair appointment if you notice you have lots of split ends that need trimming. Brushing your hair will give it a natural shine. Shave regularly to remove hair, if desired. How often and where you shave is entirely up to you—it's not required, but many people do feel more attractive once they've shaved. Women tend to shave their legs and underarms every few days, while men shave their facial hair depending on the look they want to achieve. Use shaving cream to protect your skin, as well as a sharp razor. If you need to shave, the perfect time to do this is while you're in the shower since your pores will be open. Avoid shaving if you have any open cuts or rashes. If you've used the same razor head several times, it's likely time to switch it out. Pick out clothes according to your body type. There are all sorts of different body shapes, such as pear, apple, hourglass, or rectangle. Figuring out your body type will help you determine what kinds of clothes look best on you, narrowing down your search and making your body look its best. Try looking at your body in 2 halves, with your waist as the middle. Then, think about how to create a balance between the halves. For instance, if your top is wider than your bottom, you'd wear fitted pieces on the top and add more volume on the bottom.[9] If you're wider at the waist or even on top and bottom, create the illusion of a waist by keeping things fitted in the middle, with more volume on top and bottom. To make sure your clothes fit you perfectly, try taking them to a tailor for adjustments.

It’s plush, blankety, cozy, and just about the only... Embrace the Oversized Trend Fully. In recent years, designers and celebrities have embraced the oversized trend How to Style a Hoodie Without Looking Sloppy The hoodie is among the most humble pieces out there. It enjoys serious prominence in wardrobes all over the world. It’s the ultimate grab-and-go piece — the garment you throw on when you’re headed out the door to run errands, your go-to when you’re dropping the kids off on a busy morning, the one item you love to curl up with when you’re lounging at home binge-watching your favorite show of the moment. In short, it’s epic women’s loungewear. But there’s a tendency to associate the hoodie with sloppy fashion. It gets a bad rap — unfairly so, as it turns out because there are so many cool and creative ways to make this look work for you without falling into the trap of unkempt dressing. The trick is really to put just a touch more energy into your outfit. That doesn’t mean you can’t rock your top with sweatpants and jeans. The beauty of the hoodie is, after all, its extreme versatility. It’s precisely that flexibility that makes it so fun to style in other ways, too. Here are some fashionable ideas. Layer It Beneath Something Chic Comfy hoodies are everything — except, well, they aren’t quite what one might describe as chic. They’re definitely practical and sensible and easy to wear, but no one would accuse the average hoodie of looking like something that just came off the runway. But the way that you style it could change that interpretation just a touch. The key here is to layer it underneath something that’s considerably more fashionable. Slip a hoodie on beneath a sleek menswear-inspired blazer or a fitted trench coat. Bear in mind that since the hoodie has more volume, your outer layer should be sized just right to allow for that extra fabric. Throw on a pair of skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots to create a sleek and unexpectedly posh look. Make sure the hood peeks out to add a casual note to the mix. Wear It In a Different Way Options, options, options — you’ve got so many of them where hoodies are concerned. Sure, your usual choice might be a pair of matching women’s sweatpants or the leggings that you swear by. Those are both awesome choices that will never steer you wrong when all you want is to be casual and comfortable. But you can still achieve both of those goals even by pairing your hoodie with something entirely different. To channel a new look, you’ll need to step outside of your comfort zone and step into a fit-and-flare skirt, preferably one that’s on the slightly shorter side. The idea here is to create a look that balances the weight and warmth of the top with the light and playful vibe of the skirt. It’s a little punk-friendly, too, and you can add combat boots and a wide belt to bring it all together and transform your hoodie into the ultimate wear-with-anything piece. Try It With Something Sleek “Sleek” is definitely the keyword here. Take a peek at your favorite hoodie. It’s plush, blankety, cozy, and just about the only garment in the world that you’re totally happy to wear to the grocery store and to bed. That hyped-up warmth, though, means it’s also a heavier weight piece. So when you want to try something new that doesn’t veer into the sloppy territory, consider a pair of corduroy pants in a streamlined silhouette. The beauty of this option is that it’s equally warm, so if you’re wearing your hoodie strictly to ward off the chill, then you can bet your cords will do the exact same thing. But there’s a distinct advantage that they have over, say, that pair of jeans you swear by — they’re decidedly more polished and pulled together, so they’ll lend your outfit a more refined vibe. A pair of low-profile heels or wedge booties make a great finishing touch for this casual-yet-thoughtful outfit. Embrace the Oversized Trend Fully In recent years, designers and celebrities have embraced the oversized trend to the fullest. You almost can’t turn anywhere without spotting a jumbo top or jacket that looks like something that came straight off the runway. The same can be said for your oversized hoodie, but giving it a little bit of an edge all depends on how you choose to style it. Sure, you could aim for matching sweatpants, but a pair of slender leggings or jeggings puts an updated spin on the look. Try a pair of dressy knee-high or over-the-knee boots to give this look a little more of a powerful note. The silhouette of your hoodie, coupled with the dressiness of the footwear and the sleekness of your pants, contributes to a far more glammed-up take on casual dressing. It could work in so many situations, from coffee with your friends to a low-key date night with someone special. shop our products online at shokesh.in

Cleanse regularly Wash your face morning and night by massaging in a small dollop of face cleanser lightly with fingers in circular motions, working from the inside of the face out for full coverage, says GH Beauty Lab Senior Chemist Sabina Wizemann. 2. Look for brightening skincare ingredients In topical skincare treatments like serums and moisturizers, look on the packaging for terms such as “brightening” and “skin tone-evening,” and ingredients like vitamin C, “an antioxidant that brightens skin by blocking an enzyme that produces pigment,” says GH Beauty Lab Chemist Danusia Wnek.
