The Power of Faith and Divine Trust
Day 22 Theme
“Where faith begins, fear ends.”
The twenty-second day of Purushottam Maas teaches that unwavering faith in Bhagwan gives strength during life's greatest challenges. When circumstances seem impossible, devotion and trust become the light that guides a devotee forward.
Faith does not mean that difficulties disappear; it means believing that Bhagwan's grace is present even in difficulties.
The Katha of the Young Widow
Long ago, in a village near a sacred river, lived a young widow named Ganga. After the death of her husband, she was left alone with a small child and very little money.
Life became difficult.
Many people pitied her, while some advised her to give up hope.
But Ganga remained devoted to Lord Vishnu. Every morning during Purushottam Maas, she would light a small diya and pray:
“Prabhu, I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I trust You completely.”
One year, a severe drought struck the region. Wells dried up, crops failed, and food became scarce.
Soon, Ganga's small supply of grain was nearly exhausted.
Her neighbors worried.
“How will you and your child survive?”
But Ganga continued her prayers with faith.
One evening, while returning from the temple, she noticed an elderly traveler sitting beneath a tree, weak from hunger.
Although she had very little food left, she shared her last meal with him.
The traveler gratefully accepted the food and blessed her.
The next morning, villagers arrived with surprising news. A distant relative had left Ganga a small piece of fertile land that had recently become available to her legally.
Over the following months, that land provided enough income for her family to live comfortably.
Ganga understood that the blessing was not merely the land—it was the lesson.
That night, she dreamt of Lord Krishna smiling and saying:
“When faith remains strong, My grace finds its way.”
